FAQ:
Q. Do I need gym equipment?
A. No. All of the strength training exercises can be done at home without equipment. You can use weights if you wish to add resistance in that way, however it is not necessary. All of the weekly movement & strength classes can also be done without equipment. There are many things we can do with just our bodies to enhance our running and health, whilst preventing injuries.
Q. What if I can’t make a weekly class/call?
A. All of the live calls are completely optional but recommended for the best possible results. They are automatically uploaded into the Member’s Area archive after each call, so you can catch up at any time.
Q. Do I need Strava/Garmin/Watch?etc.?
A. No. You can use these if you wish, but it's not necessary. You can log and track your training and progress using my online dynamic training system which we can both access and edit.
Q. How much time commitment is needed?
A. 5-10 mins a few times per week otherwise you can simply catch up with spare time at the weekend. It is designed in such a way that you can progress through the main programme and catch up with the additional content as and when it suits you. Each week will take you less than 1 hour to work through the programme.
Q. Is this the same concept as the challenge?
A. No. In the challenge I give a small taster of some important foundational practices to work with. In the programme we go into more detail of the application, then cover more of the topics that we simply don't have time to cover on the challenge. The accountability is what you keeps you on track.
Q. I'm new to running - is this programme too advanced for me?
A. No, this programme works for complete beginners & elite runners alike. It's all about reducing injury risk and reaching your potential. If you’re a complete beginner, great! We can build you up from the start, in the strong and healthy way, before you pick up an injury like most runners do. Experienced? Let's see what we can really do when we remove the bad habits and work on those hidden weaknesses…
Q. I need to lose some weight - is this programme suitable for me?
A. If you need to lose weight, this programme will help you do that. I have a simplified system that helps you to lose weight the healthy and natural way, so that it actually stays off.
Q. I’m not a real runner… I’m too slow…
A. If you’re a back of the pack runner, we will work on raw speed. It's the most important thing missing from 99.9% of people’s running and the reason why most runners are way slower than they should be.
Q. Am I 'too old' for this?
A. If you’re older, it’s even more important to be strong and healthy as we age. I’ve helped people of all ages get faster and stronger. And I personally prefer to think of biological age instead of chronological age...
Q. How is the training plan customised?
A. You will answer the initial questionnaire and I then design your plan using your answers. We can test and adjust from there with each weekly check-in.
Q. When does the programme start?
A. We start on Monday! As soon as you join you’ll have access so feel free to get a head start. Or just begin whenever you’re ready. Keep an eye on your emails for the questionnaire and links explaining how to access the Coaching Platform and Private Member’s Area.
Q. What time are the live classes?
A. The classes have flexible timings according to votes by members. Currently they are mostly 7am and/or 7pm but will be adjusted to try and suit everyone’s schedules. All classes are also recorded and archived in the Member’s Area to catch up on any missed sessions.
Q. If I signed up for the offer now would I be able to start at a later date?
A. If you want to join, I recommend you just take it step by step and avoid letting holidays, events or other reasons get in your way. Excuses always stall progress. Just take action consistently. Imagine what you can achieve if nothing slows you down any more and you make continual progress… If you really want to delay, let me know and I can add you to a waitlist for any future opportunities to join a programme if I run one. Q. What is the result at the end of the programme?
A. The overarching goal is to make you a more robust, resilient runner - reducing your likelihood of injury and increasing your chances of consistent progress towards your goals. There will also be additional material you can access in the private Member’s Area.
Q. What happens after the programme?
A. There are options for ongoing coaching if you want to continue further beyond the 6 weeks.
Q. What if I am not happy with the programme?
A. If you join, check in each week, complete the modules and don't get the results, you get a complete refund. I'm highly confident that you'll be successful with this programme. There’s also a two week cooling off period in case you change your mind.
Q. How much will this affect my other activities, will I need to stop doing them to fit this in?
A. The programme is designed to fit around the busiest of lifestyles. People with several children and multiple jobs have seen great success with this programme. Actually, the lifestyle optimisation modules are designed to improve your available time and energy.
Q. Will all of the content be in video format only or will there be written material?
A. There will be a combination of video (i.e. to demonstrate practical exercises) and written text to elaborate on more theory etc. for those who want a more in-depth understanding of the importance of what's being covered, and for reference purposes.
Q. I have a serious injury - can I join this programme?
A. Send me a message and I can discuss whether the programme is suitable for you. I’ve had many people join with injuries and successfully complete the programme by working around their problem. My goal is to get you back to running soon and avoid any injuries becoming worse or repeating themselves.

Q. How do we measure progress?
A. We measure your progress using your training log, so that we know you're always moving in the right direction. You also check in with me each week as you go through the programme, to ensure you always stay on track.
Q. I don’t have a race or a real goal, is there any point?
A. You can simply have the overarching goal of running faster and further with ease, whilst reducing your risk of injury. Or to just enjoy running more. I can help you set more specific goals on the programme if you’d like to.
